We're still bouncing around ideas on what to do for a honeymoon.
Ireland is definitely out of the question, I don't think i'll be able to go to Anaheim to DisneyLand and visit Hollywood and San Fransisco too. Seattle, Washington would be a nice stop while I was out there as well. Megan's dad was the one offering to foot the bill for the honeymoon since he was being a baby and isn't comming to the wedding, because Meg's parents are split and her dad is still immature.
I doubt he is going to give any money or anything to send us on a honeymoon. I would rather have him give us money for the wedding, yes, that would be nice.
Anyways. Our third plan is to make a BIG trip to visit lotsa people, and see lotsa places. The major expense would be a rental car and losing time from work. I would probably need take two weeks off work.
First we would spend two days in Ohio:
Day 1. Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Spend the evening and night with G-ryan and Kenny (2 1/2 hour drive from Butler, Pa)
2. Stop for brunch? in Columbus, OH with Rich and Melanie (2 hour drive) 2. Go to King's Island with Cousins and Relatives Middletown, OH (2 hour drive)
3. Mendota, IL -Spend the night with Donovan (6 hour drive)
4. Frankfort, KY - Spend the night with the Infamous Welfy and Soop (6 1/2 hours)
(A Dallas, TX trip here would take 13 hours to get to, then to Tampa, Fl would take 18 hours. From Tampa, Fl to Fort Lawn, SC would be 8 1/2 hours.)
5. Fort Lawn, SC - My friend Kris, Dylan and little Alix who moved there a month ago, and I miss them terribly. (7 1/2 hours from Frankfort, KY)
6. Tampa, FL - Carrie and Derek ( 9 hours from SC) 7. This trip would probably take two days, because I want to see the sights of Georgia
8. Maryland, visiting many people, Krista, Beth, Erin, Amy 9. A stop at D.C. would be nice 10. So would Mertyle Beach
11. back home
This would be an ideal trip for me... an especially Ideal trip would be a stop in Dallas, TX after Frankfort, KY then going to Tampa, FL, to visit Kerry (Monkey) and her hubby (Kerry from Geneva). A super duper ideal trip would be skipping home and spending two days near Boston, Ma with my Anna-cakes.
Because this trip is unrealistic, It would be a lot of driving, an average of 6-7 hours each day. I would have exposive hemroids from sitting in a car that long and my brain would probably come out my nose, and my eyeballs would lay in my lap.
It would probbly also be just as expensive as going to Anaheim, Ca..... OH I can dream.
But we may be making some sort of iteration of this trip. I want to at least be able to visit everyone soon.
What would be nice is to take three separate trips, yeah!
A 'Southern Crawl'
Fly to Dallas, spend 3 days there, drive from Dallas to Tampa, and take two days doing that to tour the southern states before going to Tampa, spend 3 days in Tampa/Florida area, then fly back home.
A 'New England Extranvaganza' and go to Boston area and visit places along the way.
A "Howdy Neighbor Trip" and visit neihboring states, OH, WV, Virginia, MA
Am I missing anyone>?
I would love to visit Philly, Pa and New York City. But I will only ever do that with a charter bus trip, and staying close with that large group of people.
What would be an ideal road trip for you? |
